Yeah it's Spring Break! Only this one and one more, and then it's the real world from then on out... :)
I suppose I should be doing something really fun, maybe heading out on a trip or something, but I'm just relaxing. :) Came home for a few days here and then I'll meet back up with Laura and we'll do all our wedding gift registering down in Benton. That outta be a fun day or two of scanning bar codes. Looking forward to it.
For now, it's Spring Break and I'm feeling good.
If you don't mind, pray for Laura today. She's got some doctors appointments tomorrow to try and figure out what's been up with her body the past few weeks. It's not my body so I won't go into the details but basically her whole body aches, along with a list of other strange problems. We don't really know what it is, so if you would pray that it would be revealed, and that it could be remedied soon. It's been a real burden on everything for her for half a month now. :(
2 things we need to know about security: What's false...and what's true.
1) this world offers nothing to stand on. 1 John 2:15 & 17
Satan's BIG lie: "you can find security without God"
Matthew 7:24-27 In these verses we learn that our life will crumble and fall if we bad it upon this world.
When we're comfortable we forget our dependency on the Lord. Like little children safe in their home, but when they are out in the dangerous public, they cling close to their guardians.
2) TRUE SECURITY: only Christ Jesus is the solid foundation and only He gives us security in this life and in the life to come.
Ps. 46:1 Ps. 57:1 Ps. 18:2 Ps. 62:2 Ps. 94:22 Ps. 28:16
Laura and I got to her house in Benton yesterday just as the sun was setting. AKA my absolute favorite time of each day. I quickly grabbed my camera, which I try very hard to keep within arms reach at all times. We handed it to her mom and took a 4min walk around the backyard. Thanks so much to Mrs. Kim for knocking these out and giving us some more pictures with each other. It's rare that we can both be in them, and we greatly appreciate it. :)
