Our Gear

About a month ago, I did a post on WHAT'S IN THE PELICANS. Here is the video:

We do a lot of different kinds of projects. Live audio, photography, video... that all require different tools for different applications. When it comes to video, we're pretty in love with what we have established, and what we can tackle with the gear that we have packed into a couple of cases in the back of a car.

Here is a quick look at what our gear looks like today. This is a bit simplified of course, but gives a feel for things at least:

Wedding Audio

We are getting packed up to head down to Fayetteville to shoot a small wedding at Pratt Place Inn.

While I was in the garage getting packed up I thought I would have Laura help me do a quick post on what I was planning to use tonight to capture audio.

So, those audio channels total up to:

1. Zoom Internal XY Mic - Left
2. Zoom Internal XY Mic - Right
3. Wireless Lav (Minister)
4. Rode NTG-2 Shotgun (for vows)

as well as the Rode VideoMic Pro shotgun mounted on top of Camera1.

We're looking forward to this evening! Thanks for stopping by, I hope you liked the video. :)

Live Audio at Alamo Media

On the website it is easy to show our video work because our finished product is right here on the web to share. Our Live Audio side of what we do is a little more difficult to convey online because the product of our efforts is the show itself. We are producing an event, and if you're not at the event, it's difficult to show the work we've done.

A few weeks ago we brought our cameras to a live audio show we were doing to show what we do. We have been blessed and I am covered up with tons of post production right now, and I didn't want to delay our clients' projects by editing a promo of our own, so when my friend Matt Mustain offered to edit it as a fun little project, I handed the footage right over.

Matt is a friend of ours who helps us on camera for a lot of our shoots. He took a post-production class at HSU in our last semester there and is beginning to play around inside Final Cut Pro X a bit. He did a great job putting all this content together. :D

Enjoy this fun look into the Live Audio side of what we do, compliments from the editing desk of my good friend Mr. Matt Mustain.

HSU LipDub on the News

Central Arkansas channel 11 Today's THV decided to cover the HSU LipDub project on their morning show about a week after the video went online. We were honored and appreciated the great opportunity to come on the air and talk about the project!
